4th of July Parade: You’re Doing it Wrong

I went to a lovely 4th of July parade today in the quaint little coastal town of Neskowin, OR. Some of these people could use a bit of a history lesson.

What better way to celebrate America’s independence from England than dressing up like the Beatles, England’s most celebrated band. At least they’re not waving the British flag around.

Oh, there it is.

Hey, remember that time when the Vikings helped George Washington cross the Delaware river? Doesn’t anyone in this parade know what the 4th of July is really about?

Okay, you’re right. That’s really boring. Bring back the Royal Family.
